Long Service Award
IF Scott Nicholls comes to the tapes this year, he will be starting his 31st season, easily outstripping Jimmy Squibb's record of 29, although whether he can continue to ride up to and indeed past his 53rd birthday is another matter... but I wouldnt bet against him. Unlike Chris Harris and Danny King, he didn't ride in any of the very few meetings raced in the Covid year of 2020
Honorable mention to Danny King who turns 39 later this year and whose first season was in 2001, making it his 25th season as he rode in the 2020 Ben Fund meeting before Covid intervened. and subsequently in the British Final
