Alphabetically Speaking - The Extra "S"

Who remembers

(1)  the Cornishman who rode for Bristol, Plymouth , Glasgow, Cradley, Newport and Exeter

(2) Swindon's  Red Devil and captain of the 60s

(3)  Southampton and West Ham Swede who won the World Championship in 1965

Not difficult questions but how did you spell their names. Most programmes in the 1960s had the extra ""S", but they were wrong!

(1) Chris JulianS

(2) Mike BroadbankS

(3) Bjorn KnutsSon

Chris was far too laid back a character to worry about the additional "S". The Wikipedia page for " Broadie" declares he was also known as " Broadbanks" , while Bjorn remarked "My father was a son of Knut in 1899 and became Knutson, my name is Knutson with one "S". In my youth my name was often spelt as most Swedish names are with two S's. I just accepted this, but wish I had not."

Missing S's

One that was obviously wrong was Glasgow's Swedish signing who was named as Bo Josefffom! and appeared that way on their pennant that year
