Twenty Isnt Plenty
A look at at times where a first leg lead of twenty, or more, wasnt enough in the KO Cup
Interestingly none of these first leg leads took the second leg anywhere near a last heat decider.
Let me know if Ive missed out your favourite teams comeback that would have impressed Lazarus!

Berwick certainly were the team for wild swings in KO Cup ties.In 1971 you'd have said they were home and dry after a 50-28 win over Crewe but the Kings pulled out all the stops, winning by 30 points in the return.
The Bandits took a 38 point lead to Long Eaton in 1982 but contrived to blow it all, with Nicky Allott and Paul Stead taking a last heat 5-1 to level up the aggregate score, meaning a replay was required. Two weeks later Berwick again ran up another huge 67 -29 lead and this time it was enough.. but only just. Curiously in the intervening week, they also scored 67 -29 at home to Mildenhall
Belle Vue came back from the dead after losing 66-42 at Hull to reach the final where their fans were no doubt confident of success taking a 26 point lead to Dudley Wood but the local Heathens rampaged to a 75-33 win to take the trophy
